How Our Leaders Support Our Mission and Vision

The leaders of Living Love Connection Teaching Center serve with compassion, integrity, and a shared commitment to creating a loving and inclusive community. Through thoughtful guidance, responsible stewardship, and collaborative decision-making, they help ensure that our programs and services remain aligned with our mission and responsive to the needs of those we serve.

Our Leadership Council, advisors, community partners, and volunteers each bring valuable experience, wisdom, and perspective to this work. Together, they strengthen community relationships, support meaningful programs, encourage spiritual growth, and help create spaces where individuals and families feel welcomed, respected, and connected.

By leading with love and serving with purpose, our leaders help bring the vision of Living Love Connection to life—a community rooted in compassion, belonging, healing, and loving service.

Janice Olivia King

Co-President

Janice (Olivia) King serves as Director of Resident Services for Resources for Community Development (RCD), a nonprofit affordable housing developer dedicated to serving individuals with the fewest housing options. Since joining RCD as a Resident Services Coordinator in 2007 and advancing to Director in 2010, she has earned a strong reputation for thoughtful, impactful leadership. Olivia brings nearly 20 years of industry experience, specializing in supportive services that promote housing stability, prevent evictions, and improve the quality of life of low-income families, seniors, and individuals with special needs.

In her executive role, Olivia bridges the gap between housing development and community impact. She collaborates closely with real estate project managers and asset management teams to assess community needs, inform building design and unit mixes, secure funding, and develop comprehensive Resident Services Plans. As a trusted liaison and strategic relationship builder, she manages partnerships with community-based providers across Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Marin, and Solano counties. She also helps shape RCD’s organizational culture as a core member of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion leadership team.

Olivia is passionate about the mission of Living Love Connection and its commitment to strengthening individuals, families, and communities through compassion, meaningful relationships, and access to supportive resources. She serves on the Board to contribute her experience in resident services, affordable housing, partnership development, and equity-centered leadership. Through her Board service, Olivia hopes to help Living Love Connection expand its impact and create inclusive communities where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.
