Rev. Dr. Galloway-Lee has established an outstanding legacy locally and is in demand to present workshops on Spiritual Care, Health Ministry and Christian Education nationwide. Reverend Dr. Barbara Galloway-Lee is currently serving as an associate minister for Beth Eden Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dwight Webster, PhD. A current focus is working to establish a Memory Care Program.
Over the course of her career, Dr.Galloway-Lee has built a wheelhouse of knowledge that includes community development, volunteer management, capacity builders and program development.
Rev. Galloway-Lee is a retired Director for the Pastoral Care Services, Kaiser Permanente, Oakland CA. and a past Director for Community Health Ministry for Summit Medical Center in Oakland, CA. Under her charismatic leadership she has received honors from the American Hospital Association, The Circle of Distinction Award for Outstanding Achievement in Developing Innovative Partnerships.
She addresses her sensitivities and the sensitivities of others in her Pastoral Care role. She has a strong “prophetic imperative sense” in and on her that has resulted in receiving a Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Under the leadership of The Rev. Dr. J. Alfred Smith, Sr., Rev. Dr. Lee was set apart and ordained to the” Work of the Gospel Ministry” by the Authority of Allen Temple Baptist Church Oakland, CA. in October 2003.
Dr. Lee is very proud of her heritage to be born in Mt. Airy, North Carolina and with humility looks forward to leaving behind a legacy of one that heals the” Body, Mind and Spirit”.
Dr. Galloway-Lee has taught Bible Study and presented Seminars as a Missionary in Gonaives, Haiti. In 2010, she was appointed Bible Class Facilitator and Tour Minister to The Holy Land, for a group of 18 dedicated Christian professionals. Rev. Lee is delighted with three grandchildren.
