Rev. Michelle E. Jordan

Music, Connection, Inspiration
“The great books say, ‘In the beginning was the Word.’ The Word was significant because it was a sound that set a vibration in motion and brought forth creation. You create that kind of vibration in a room full of people, and for only five minutes, souls are united, and there is a sense of Amen in the room.”
~ Lamitsoi Jordan, Mother’s Day 2001
About Rev. Michelle
Rev. Michelle E. Jordan is a gifted vocalist, educator, musical director, and minister who has spent decades using music to bring people together.
Her musical journey has taken her into schools, churches, theaters, and community spaces throughout the Bay Area. She has taught vocal music and production to children and young people, directed choirs, performed professionally, and created musical experiences that invite people of all backgrounds to participate.
At the heart of Michelle’s work is a belief that music is medicine. Music can comfort us, help us release what we are carrying, awaken memories, lift our spirits, and remind us that we are not alone.
Her approach is welcoming and inclusive. You don’t have to be a singer, belong to a particular faith tradition, or have any musical experience to participate.
Everyone has a place in the song.
Symposium Experience
Music for Reflection, Connection & Renewal
Throughout the National Caregivers Month Symposium, Rev. Michelle will weave music into the experience, creating moments for participants to pause, breathe, reflect, connect, and experience joy together.
For care partners who spend so much of their time caring for someone else, these musical moments offer something different: an opportunity to receive.
Through song and shared musical experiences, Michelle will help create space to honor the caregiving journey—the love, grief, laughter, exhaustion, memories, resilience, and hope that can all be part of caring for someone we love.
No musical experience is needed. Participants are welcome to sing, listen, reflect, move, or be present.
Michelle’s Invitation
Come as you are. Bring your voice, your heart, your story—or simply your presence. There is a place for you.
At the National Caregivers Month Symposium, music becomes more than entertainment. It becomes part of the experience of Reflecting, Releasing, and Renewing.
